Stepping Out

By Richard Harris

The cast, 9 females & 1 male attend a weekly tap dance class in a Church hall, from disparate backgrounds and with differing motivations. Despite the students at first treating the class as a social occasion, and showing little co-ordination, they later develop a level of skill and cohesiveness. The dance routines are the background for the focus of the play, the relationships and interaction of different people.
