It's a crime to miss it!

From Catherine Smyth Media on FACEBOOK about Inspector Drake and the Perfekt Crime. 'When it comes choosing a stage show to go to see, comedy is never top of the list for me. However, from the get-go when the shadow puppet murder happened and the bumbling PC Plod (Paul Higginbottom) took his Dixon of Dock Green stance under the Polise [not a typo] light… the comedy started and it just kept on coming. Every actor in this production was excellent – but to ensure comic timing, involves so much more than just delivering the script, it is the facial expressions, the asides, the physical comedy and the absurdity. This production had mastered all of those facets, so high praise on Director Paul McGowan. A full house really helped to create the atmosphere and everyone was laughing and joining in. There were brilliant de… de… der…– freeze-frames and the slapstick comedy really worked. The play was by David Tristram and he definitely deserves a mention. This worked because it was such a brilliantly written script, a great stage set – and the actors were well matched to their roles. You could really tell that the cast were enjoying playing their parts and the use of the couch was genius – no spoilers. Whodunnit? Go along and you will find out. This was the last play before the next year of shows begin in September and Rossendale Players will begin celebrating their 90th year – they really ended on a high. You would be mad to miss this one'. Catherine Smyth Independent Reviewer *****TICKETS STILL AVAILABLE******BOOK NOW************
